How do I become a certified personal property appraiser?

There is no state or federal licensing or certification system for personal property appraisers. The Appraiser Qualifications Board sets minimum criteria only for real property appraisers, and the ASC Appraiser Registry lists only real estate credentials. Personal property appraisers instead earn voluntary designations from professional organizations, and many follow USPAP even though compliance is not legally required for their discipline.
