How does USPAP apply to personal property appraisals and where can I take a personal property USPAP course?
USPAP includes standards for personal property appraisal, but compliance is not legally required for personal property appraisers the way it is for real property appraisers working on federally related transactions, and many organizations adopt it voluntarily. The Appraisal Foundation publishes a 15-hour personal property USPAP course and a 7-hour personal property update course, delivered in person or virtually by providers using the Foundation's materials or an AQB-approved equivalent.
