How much does it cost to renew a real estate appraiser license?
There is no single national renewal fee; each state appraiser regulatory agency sets its own renewal fee, and renewal cycles differ by state. Separately, licensed and certified appraisers pay a $40 annual National Registry fee to the Appraisal Subcommittee to remain listed on the Appraiser Registry as eligible to perform appraisals for federally related transactions.
The annual license fee is $335 for Trainee and State Registered Real Property Appraisers, and $375 for Licensed, Certified Residential, and Certified General appraisers, with the $375 including the $40 Washington Registry fee. Fees are payable during September each year. If you do not pay by October 31, the Alabama Real Estate Appraisers Board adds a $250 delinquent charge.
