What are the VA Minimum Property Requirements (MPRs) for an appraisal?
The answer depends on your state. Pick yours to see it.
VA Minimum Property Requirements (MPRs) ensure the purchased property is suitable for safe and secure living. The property must be a single-family dwelling, though it may include 2 to 4 units; at least 75% of the space must be residential; it must have at least one bathroom; and it needs adequate year-round access from a public or private street. Repairs listed on the Notice of Value may be waived with the mortgage lender's concurrence, provided the property remains habitable per safety, structural, and sanitation standards.
