What are the Yellow Book appraisal standards (Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions)?

The Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions (UASFLA), known as the Yellow Book, are the valuation standards the federal government uses for appraisals supporting the acquisition of real property. The Department of the Interior's Appraisal and Valuation Services Office follows them when applicable, alongside USPAP, and it requires its appraisers to hold at least a state Certified General credential.
