What is the most current version of USPAP?
The current edition of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) is the 2024 edition, effective January 1, 2024, and it has no end date. The Appraisal Standards Board updates USPAP on an as-needed basis rather than a fixed two-year cycle, so a new edition takes effect only when the board adopts changes.
The Appraisal Foundation's current course cycle is the 2026-2027 7-Hour National USPAP Course, which draws on the 2026 USPAP Guidance and Reference Manual and must be completed once every two calendar years for continuing education. The 15-Hour National USPAP Course (2024 edition) is the qualifying-education version required for initial licensure. For state real property credit, either course must be taught by an AQB-Certified USPAP Instructor who also holds a current Certified General or Certified Residential credential.
