Can I get life insurance without a medical exam?
Yes. Several policy types skip the medical exam: accelerated underwriting (approval sometimes in days or minutes), simplified issue (a health questionnaire but no physical), guaranteed issue (no exam and no health questions), and group life through an employer. No exam does not mean no underwriting, though, because insurers still review health answers, prescription history, and motor vehicle records, and high coverage amounts can move an application into full underwriting. Expect higher premiums and lower coverage limits than on medically underwritten policies.
