How do I become a title processor?
The answer depends on your state. Pick yours to see it.
Florida does not issue a title processor license. An unlicensed person may work as a title agent's designee preparing closing paperwork, but only a licensed and appointed title insurance agent may sign title insurance policies, and the agent-in-charge remains accountable for the work. To become a licensed title agent, you must complete a 40-hour approved title course or have at least one year of responsible title duties, pass the state exam, and be fingerprinted.
