Look for a 40-hour title insurance course approved by the Department of Financial Services, including 3 hours on ethics, that you will finish within 4 years of your application date. You can find approved providers in the department's Education Database by selecting the "Prelicensing" search option. Alternatively, at least 1 year of responsible title insurance duties within the last 4 years qualifies you in place of the course.
