How do I renew an insurance broker license?

Most states let you renew a broker license through NIPR's LicenseHub, and licenses typically expire every two years. Renewal windows usually open 60 to 120 days before expiration, and some states charge late fees or require a new application if you miss the deadline. Complete your continuing education before applying, because providers need 3 to 5 business days to report completions; finishing at least 30 days early is recommended. You will need your license or National Producer Number and an electronic payment, and NIPR adds a $5.60 transaction fee to the state fee.
