How do I schedule my insurance license exam?
Insurance exams are scheduled through the testing vendor your state contracts with — Pearson VUE, PSI, or Prometric. Pearson VUE runs insurance exams for 29 jurisdictions, including Texas, Florida, Georgia, and Illinois; PSI administers California and New York; Prometric handles Maryland and Massachusetts. Schedule online or by phone with the vendor, pay the exam fee at the time of reservation, and bring two forms of ID on test day. In states like Illinois you must also bring proof of prelicensing completion to the test center.
You schedule Idaho insurance exams directly with Pearson VUE, using its online reservation tool or by phone. Each exam costs $65, paid at reservation. Testing centers operate across Idaho and in Spokane, Washington, and you can also test remotely through OnVUE. Exams are offered in English and Spanish.

Indiana insurance exams are scheduled through the Pearson VUE website or by phone at 866-895-0496. You must make an online reservation at least 24 hours before your desired test date, and you pay the exam fee ($69 for the major lines) at the time of reservation by credit card, debit card, or voucher. On exam day, report 30 minutes early with a government-issued photo ID and your course completion certificate.

Complete your license application at www.nipr.com first, because Pearson VUE cannot schedule an exam until the application is complete. Wait for the email authorization from Pearson VUE, which arrives within 24 to 48 hours. Then reserve your seat online or by phone at (800) 274-0668 at least 24 hours before the exam date, and pay the $45 fee for each attempt at the time of reservation.
