What does a health insurance consultant do?
The answer depends on your state. Pick yours to see it.
A consultant is a person who, for a fee, advises clients on insurance needs, risks, coverages, or the advantages and disadvantages of policies, and who is not paid by an insurer or producer for that advice. In Wyoming, consultants must be licensed under Chapter 18 of the Wyoming Insurance Regulations, pass the consultant licensing exam for the desired lines, and submit a paper application with fingerprints.
