What health questions are asked when applying for life insurance?

When you apply for medically underwritten life insurance, expect questions about your medical history, your prescription history, and your motor vehicle record. The paramedical exam, which is free and takes 15 to 45 minutes at your home or office, adds a medical history questionnaire plus vitals and blood and urine samples. Those samples are screened for cholesterol and triglycerides, blood sugar, liver and kidney function, nicotine, drugs and alcohol, HIV, and hepatitis.
