What is the Florida 6-20 adjuster license, and how do I get it?
The 6-20 is Florida's resident all-lines adjuster license, covering claims adjusting for property, casualty, and other lines. Residents must be at least 18, United States citizens or legal aliens with work authorization, and bona fide Florida residents. You pass the Pearson VUE exam (70% passing score, $44 fee) or hold a Department-approved designation such as ACA, AIC, or CPCU, then apply online with the $50 application fee, the $5 license identification fee, and fingerprints. You must be appointed within 48 months of licensure to keep the license.
