How do you become a REALTOR®?

To become a REALTOR®, a licensed real estate agent must join their local REALTOR® association and pay membership dues, which automatically provides membership in the state and national associations. REALTORS® must complete Code of Ethics training every three years, and NAR also requires Fair Housing training on the same three-year cycle. The term "REALTOR®" is a trademark of the National Association of REALTORS®, and only NAR members may use it.
