How do you check your real estate continuing education credits?

Most states track continuing education electronically in an online licensing portal you can log into. Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation monitors 100% of licensee CE, with schools reporting attendance within 5 business days of course completion; Tennessee reports CE hours to the CE Broker platform; and Texas licensees' completed hours appear in the commission's records at renewal. Your state commission's online portal shows your current totals.

Licensees can check their continuing education credits through AREC's Online Services. The tool is accessible on the Alabama Real Estate Commission website under Education > Check CE Credit, where licensees log in to view their CE credit history.

Licensees submit continuing education course completions manually through the Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE) Licensee Login at azre.gov using certificates that include the Course Number, Course Start Date, and Course End Date. ADRE does not receive CE completions directly from schools, so licensees must retain their certificates and enter the information themselves. The ADRE system will not allow license renewal if a required CE category is deficient, even if the total hour count is sufficient, and no more than 9 hours of education per day will be accepted.

Arkansas Real Estate Commission (AREC) maintains continuing education data for each licensee, and most AREC-approved education providers report CE completions electronically to the commission. If a provider does not report electronically, the licensee must mail CE certificates to AREC. The licensee is responsible for ensuring CE is reported by the September 30 renewal deadline.

Licensees can create and access an online account through the Colorado Division of Real Estate's online services portal to manage their license and view associated records. Brokers must also retain proof of completion of continuing education courses for a minimum of four years and provide that proof upon the Commission's request. The Division's licensing management website is where licensees confirm renewal fees and complete renewal transactions.

Continuing education credits are tracked in DELPROS, the Delaware Professional Regulation Online Service. Licensees should not upload CE documentation into DELPROS unless notified that they have been selected for a random audit. If selected, the licensee must upload a completed Real Estate CE Log and certificates of completion for each course, and salespersons and associate brokers must also have their current broker of record sign the CE log.

Licensees can check continuing education credits through a MyPVL account at mypvl.dcca.hawaii.gov. The account displays CE history and allows printing of course completion certificates. Principal brokers can also view CE information for licensees associated with their brokerage through the same system.

Licensees can check their continuing education credits through Idaho's online licensing system, accessible via the Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL) Online Services portal where licensees log in to manage their accounts and review education records. Education providers are required to report completed courses to the Commission within 5 business days of course completion. The Idaho Real Estate Commission also reviews all renewals and activations for CE compliance and sends audit letters if requirements are not met.

Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) provides a CE Lookup tool on its website that allows licensees to track completed continuing education courses. Licensees must retain original CE certificates and produce them if requested, because IDFPR conducts random audits rather than requiring certificates to be submitted with the renewal application. On the renewal application, each licensee must certify compliance with all CE requirements.

Indiana does not require brokers to submit continuing education (CE) certificates during the license renewal process. Instead, the Indiana Real Estate Commission conducts random audits after each renewal period to verify compliance, and education providers report course completions to the state. Brokers must retain their own CE certificates for at least 3 years and present them if selected for an audit. Licensing transactions, including renewals, are managed through the MyLicense One online portal.

Iowa real estate licensees must track their own continuing education credits, because course providers do not report completions to the state. Licensees should retain all course completion certificates, which include a course number that the Iowa Real Estate Commission uses to verify completion during an audit. Completion certificates do not need to be submitted at renewal but must be kept on file. Licensees submit renewal applications electronically through their "My Iowa PLB" account after completing all 36 required CE hours by December 31 of the renewal year.

Education providers must report continuing education completions to the Kansas Real Estate Commission within 5 calendar days of course completion or by the license expiration date, whichever is sooner. Reported credits appear in the licensee's profile within the Commission's online MyLicense portal, where the renewal option also opens 45 days before the license expiration date. Individual CE Request forms for courses not automatically reported must be received by the Commission at least 15 days before the license expiration date.

Licensees can access their records through the Kentucky Real Estate Commission (KREC) eServices portal, which is the same system used for license renewal. Continuing education providers report course completions to the state, and active licensees must complete 6 hours of CE each calendar year (3 hours in real estate law) by December 31. Licensees renew biennially by March 31 of each even-numbered year through eServices or by mailing Form 208.

Continuing education course completions are reported to the Louisiana Real Estate Commission by approved CE vendors, and licensees manage their licensing records through the MyLREC Portal at portal.lrec.gov. The portal is the same system used for annual license renewal. Licensees must complete 12 hours of approved CE each year by December 31, including any LREC mandatory course topics, and those hours are tracked by the commission through vendor-reported completion data.

The Maryland Real Estate Commission provides a Continuing Education Status Query tool on the Department of Labor's website that lets licensees verify which CE classes they have received credit for. Maryland REALTORS® does not maintain complete CE records, so licensees must use the state's DLLR website to check their CE status and confirm which courses are required for renewal.

Michigan real estate licensees track their continuing education credits through CE Marketplace, a free online platform operated by Michigan REALTORS® at cemarketplace.net. Licensees can view their CE profile at any time by creating an account. Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) does not maintain CE records directly; the licensee is responsible for documenting completed CE and retaining evidence for at least 4 years. CE providers report completed courses to CE Marketplace electronically, typically within 10 business days of course completion.

You can check your continuing education credits on the Pulse Portal at pulseportal.com by selecting the Minnesota Department of Commerce as the program, Real Estate as the board, and choosing "Review Your CE Transcript" under the Other Services menu. Course providers upload completion rosters to the Pulse Portal, and the Department of Commerce cannot assist with missing credits if a provider fails to report them. If a provider does not upload the student roster by July 10, the licensee's license will lapse.

Licensees can check continuing education records on the MREC website at www.mrec.ms.gov or by calling the Mississippi Real Estate Commission at 601-321-6970. CE providers must submit class rosters to the Commission within 30 days after course completion, and providers use a three-part certificate system in which one copy goes to the Commission, one to the attendee, and one is retained by the provider.

Missouri licensees can check their continuing education credits through the MOPRO online portal, which allows licensees to track CE hours and manage license renewals. Education providers have up to 10 days to report course completions to the Missouri Real Estate Commission (MREC), so recent completions may not appear immediately. MREC encourages licensees to independently verify their CE hours, as the new licensure system has had issues affecting how CE hours are calculated and displayed. Licensees should also maintain their own records of course completion certificates.

Montana does not require schools to report course completions to the Board of Realty Regulation, so licensees must track their own continuing education hours and retain all certificates of completion. The Board conducts audits to verify CE compliance. Licensees renew online through the Montana eBiz portal at ebiz.mt.gov/pol during the renewal period, which opens 60 days before the October 31 deadline.

The Nebraska Real Estate Commission provides an online Licensee Portal where licensees can manage their licenses, including tracking continuing education compliance. Active licensees must have their continuing education requirements met before the system allows them to complete the renewal form, and the Commission verifies completion as part of the renewal process. The NREC also publishes a FAQ section for licensees covering education obligations and portal usage.

Nevada licensees are responsible for maintaining their own records of course completion, as NRED does not track CE credits automatically or accept internal reports from course providers. You can access your licensing account through the NRED online portal using your license number (including the period, with no leading zeroes) as the username and the last four digits of your SSN as the password. At renewal time, you must submit your CE certificates directly with your renewal application (Form 580) and enter completed CE hours and course numbers in the online renewal system. CE certificates are valid for two years from the date the course was completed.

PSI administers the online continuing education tracking system for the New Jersey Real Estate Commission. Licensees can view their CE records at njrece.psiexams.com or contact PSI at 877-526-6833 for support. Course providers report completed CE credits to PSI's system, and it takes approximately 10 business days for confirmation to transfer from the provider to the testing vendor to the Real Estate Commission.

Education providers report course completions to the New Mexico Real Estate Commission, and licensees upload continuing education (CE) certificates when submitting renewal applications through the NM-PLUS online portal. The commission sends an email approximately 60 days before license expiration with a renewal link and registration code. After completing the online renewal, licensees must email CE certificates and other documentation to nmrec.ceu@state.nm.us. Associate brokers need 36 CE hours per 3-year cycle and qualifying brokers need 42 hours.

Licensees are responsible for their own continuing education recordkeeping, and the North Dakota Real Estate Commission does not maintain a list of licensees and their CE completion records. Licensees must receive and retain a certificate of completion from the course sponsor after each course, provided they attended at least 90% of the classroom hours. The designated broker must certify each licensee's CE before NDREC approves the renewal. NDREC may audit licensees to verify CE attendance.

Licensees can verify their continuing education credits through the OREC License Portal, accessible from the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission website. Education providers report course completions to the commission, and it may take a few days for credits to appear after a course is finished. The portal also provides access to license renewal, license type changes, and licensee search functions.

Oregon licensees enter their continuing education course information directly into the eLicense system; you cannot simply send or upload certificates to the Agency. You must enter your required courses (LARRC, Fair Housing course for renewals on or after January 1, 2026, and enough other courses to total 30 hours) and keep certificates of attendance for 3 years from your renewal date. The Agency randomly audits CE records, and only courses completed within the 2 years before your renewal date count toward the requirement.

South Carolina tracks continuing education through the CE Broker database. All SC licensees are eligible for a free basic CE Broker account. CE providers report course completions directly to CE Broker within 14 calendar days of completion, so licensees do not need to submit certificates to the Commission. Licensees can log into their CE Broker account to view reported credits and verify that all 10 required hours (4 mandatory core plus 6 elective for associates and brokers) are recorded before submitting a license renewal.

Licensees can view their education status by logging into Online Licensee Services on the South Dakota Real Estate Commission website and selecting "Education Summary." Course providers have 10 days to send course rosters to the commission, so licensees should allow 2 to 3 weeks for a completed course to appear in their education history before contacting the office.

CE Broker is the official continuing education tracking system for the Tennessee Real Estate Commission. Licensees can check their course history and CE compliance status through a free Basic Account at CE Broker, and all education completed after June 13, 2022 is tracked there. Education providers report course completions directly to CE Broker, and licensees renew through the CORE system at core.tn.gov, which indicates whether education status is compliant at renewal time.

TREC's Renewal Education Information page allows license holders to check their completed education and outstanding requirements online through a license holder search. The page is available to license holders within 90 days of their expiration date and shows which CE courses have been completed and what remains. TREC recommends completing CE at least 10 days before the expiration date to allow processing time. If TREC's records do not show completed CE at the time of renewal, you must either pay a $200 CE deferral fee or renew in inactive status.

The Utah Division of Real Estate's My License One system allows licensees to view their continuing education records online by logging into a UtahID account linked to the same email address on file with the Division. Continuing education providers report course completions directly to the Division electronically, so licensees do not need to self-report hours. If a CE course completion is missing or incorrect, the licensee should contact the education provider, as the Division does not manually add CE hours.

Continuing education providers in Washington do not report course completions to the Department of Licensing (DOL). Licensees must retain their own completion certificates and keep them available for audit purposes. The DOL maintains an online course search portal where licensees can find state-approved continuing education courses.

West Virginia uses CE Broker as the official continuing education tracking system for the West Virginia Real Estate Commission. The Commission provides each licensee with a free Basic Account that displays Course History and CE Compliance Status. If a licensee is selected for audit, they automatically pass if their CE record is current in CE Broker. Licensees can reach CE Broker support at 877-434-6323, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM Eastern Time.

Wisconsin licensees should retain proof of continuing education completion for five years in case the Real Estate Examining Board conducts an audit. Members of the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association can print completion certificates through the myWRA portal, and brokers can verify their agents' CE progress through the same system. Completing CE alone does not renew a license; the licensee must also submit renewal and fees through the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) LicensE portal by December 14 of each even-numbered year.

Wyoming licensees can check their continuing education credits through the Wyoming Real Estate Commission's online license management portal. The portal allows licensees to view their contact and license information and check CE credits at any time. Only individuals currently licensed in Wyoming, whether active or inactive, should create an account. The email used to register becomes the permanent username. Approved CE providers send rosters to the commission electronically, often daily, so credits are reported automatically.
