How much does it cost to retake the real estate licensing exam?
The answer depends on your state. Pick yours to see it.
The retake fee for the Colorado real estate broker exam is $42.50 per portion, as stated in the PSI Candidate Information Bulletin. If you fail one portion, you may retake only that failed portion at a subsequent time without retaking the portion you passed. There is no stated cap on the number of retake attempts, but passing scores on each portion are valid for one year from the date of the passing score. You must apply for licensure within one year of passing the entire examination; if your application is not received within that window, you must retake both portions.

Each exam retake costs $44.00, the same fee as the initial attempt, paid directly to PSI Examination Services. There is no limit to the number of times a qualified candidate may retake the Maryland real estate licensing exam.

Each exam attempt costs $15, the same as the initial exam fee. If you fail, you can schedule another exam immediately through your eAccessNY account, as the Department of State does not impose a mandatory waiting period between attempts.
