Can I take the MLO license exam online?

Only with approved testing accommodations. Since October 1, 2024, the NMLS restricts online proctored testing for the SAFE MLO Test to candidates who qualify for accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act; everyone else tests in person. The exam is administered at nearly 300 Prometric locations in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
