How do I become an auto loan officer?

Auto loan officers are consumer loan officers, a category the Bureau of Labor Statistics describes as specializing in loans for cars, tuition, and similar personal needs. They do not need a mortgage loan originator license, because the SAFE Act applies only to residential mortgage loans secured by a dwelling. Loan officers typically need a bachelor's degree and receive on-the-job training.
