How do I reactivate an inactive NMLS license?

You reactivate it by getting hired or sponsored by a licensed mortgage company, which submits a sponsorship request through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) for the state regulator to approve. Illinois charges a reactivation fee if you have been inactive for more than 90 calendar days.
