What is the Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist (CRMS) designation?

The Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist (CRMS) is a professional designation issued by the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB), a mortgage industry association founded in 1973. It is one of several credentials loan officers may hold, alongside NAMB's Certified Mortgage Consultant (CMC), which requires at least five years in the industry and an exam. These designations appear among certifications relevant to loan officer careers.
