What is the deadline to complete NMLS continuing education each year?

The deadline to complete the 8 hours of annual continuing education is December 31 in most states, and NMLS blocks a renewal application until CE is satisfied. NMLS encourages finishing by the SMART CE deadline of December 5, because course providers may take up to 7 days to report completions. Some state agencies set earlier deadlines.
