Where can I get loan processor certification online?

There is no federal or state certification for loan processors; what matters is licensing status. A supervised processor who works at the direction of a state-licensed loan originator and does not hold themselves out to the public does not need a license. An independent contractor who processes or underwrites residential mortgage loans must be a state-licensed mortgage loan originator, which requires 20 hours of NMLS-approved pre-licensing education and a passing SAFE MLO Test score.
