Which states are the easiest to get a mortgage license in?

No regulator ranks states by difficulty, and every state applies the same federal minimums: 20 hours of pre-licensing education, a 75% passing score on the SAFE MLO Test, and background and credit checks. States differ mainly in state-specific education hours and fees. Georgia, Illinois, and the California DRE endorsement track add no state-specific pre-licensing hours, while Nevada requires 30 total pre-licensing hours and Utah's Department of Real Estate requires 25.
