Overview of the RealEstateU California Real Estate Test Prep
Are you looking to get access to California real estate license exam sample questions?
Or, do you need to know what will be tested on the CA state licensing exam?
Our California real estate license prep was written for students who ask themselves these exact questions.
Our test prep consists of two parts. The first part is the California real estate license exam study guide, which goes through the outline for the test and lists exactly what you need to know in a bullet point format. The second part consits of three California real estate exam practice tests.
How do you pass the California real estate exam on the first try?
The most effective way to get prepared for the exam is to go through sample questions. Pay attention to the questions you answer incorrectly and understand why the correct answer is correct. Our California real estate exam practice tests mimic the actual state licensing exam. If you can answer at least 90% of the sample questions correctly, you should do just fine on the actual state test.
in addition, we recommend that you read through the CA real estate license exam study guide portion at least twice. You don't have to memorize every bullet point in the guide, but you do need to be familiar with each concept.

The book is available online, on CD, or at DRE offices. The DRE also publishes the exam content outline on its website, which breaks down the seven tested domains and their approximate weights: Practice of Real Estate and Disclosures (25%), Laws of Agency and Fiduciary Duties (17%), Property Ownership and Land Use Controls (15%), Property Valuation and Financial Analysis (14%), Contracts (12%), Financing (9%), and Transfer of Property (8%). The salesperson exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours, and examinees must correctly answer at least 70% to pass.
The California Department of Real Estate (DRE) administers the real estate licensing exam directly, not through a third-party testing vendor such as PSI or Pearson VUE. Exams are offered in electronic format at five DRE-operated exam centers in Fresno, La Palma, Oakland, Sacramento, and San Diego. Applicants who are approved to test can self-schedule through the DRE's eLicensing system.
