The following are the mandated steps to get a Michigan real estate license.

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Michigan to apply for a license. Non-residents must submit a Consent to Service of Process with the Michigan Licensing & Regulatory Authority.

Step 3: Sign up on the Michigan Professional Licensing User System (MiPlus) portal. Use this account when you apply for a Michigan real estate license and pay the required fee. 

Step 4: Visit the MiPlus website and submit your Michigan real estate license application. Upload supporting proof that you have completed a 40-hour real estate pre-licensing course in Michigan

Step 5: After receiving approval for your application for a license, schedule a Michigan real estate State Exam through PSI Services.
