What can you do with an inactive license and how do you keep it active in Michigan? Having an inactive real estate license in Michigan means that you can’t engage in real estate sales. However, you can still mentor and consult, or carry out real estate referrals with your industry knowledge and contacts. You will have three years from the expiration date of your license within which to reinstate it.
