Does New York State have MLO reciprocity agreements with other states?

Reciprocity means that MLOs licensed in one state can obtain a mortgage license in another state without completing all of the requirements from scratch. When it comes to Mortgage Loan Originator licensing, there are no reciprocity agreements between states.  If you want to become an MLO in New York but already hold a broker license in another state, you will still need to go through the New York State application process. However, there is only one licensing test for all states, so once you have passed that test, adding another state license is simply a matter of applying and paying for the license, and taking any required pre licensing training for the additional state.
