What are the four steps to obtain a real estate license in New Jersey?

There are four steps you must take in order to get a real estate license in NJ.
1. Complete the 75-hour New Jersey real estate salespersons course.  The course must be approved by the NJ Real Estate Commission.  You can take the course online with RealEstateU.
2. Schedule and pass the NJ real estate licensing exam.  This is the state test that must be taken with PSI.  You can take the NJ state exam online or in-person.
3. Get fingerprinted and find a sponsoring broker.  Your fingerprints will be used to conduct a background check.  You must get fingerprinted through IdentoGO.
4. Submit your NJ real estate salespersons application with the NJ Real Estate Commission.
