What is the difference between a real estate salesperson and a real estate broker in New Jersey?

A real estate salesperson is an individual who is starting a career in the industry.  This is the first license that can be obtained in the real estate industry and is an “entry-level” designation.  As a licensed New Jersey real estate salesperson, you must work under a licensed New Jersey real estate broker.
After you acquire enough experience as a NJ salesperson, you can qualify to obtain a NJ real estate broker’s license.
