What is the format of the Texas licensing exam?

The Texas real estate licensing exam is a multiple-choice test that consists of two parts. The first is the national section, which covers general real estate topics, and the second part covers the topics that are relevant to the real estate industry in Texas only. The national-level exam has 85 questions to be completed in 150 minutes. The state-specific section has 40 questions to be answered in 90 minutes. Thus, the license exam is spread out over 4 hours and you must answer 125 questions within that time.
