To be eligible for a real estate license in Georgia and a legal citizen of the U.S.
There are five steps to complete to get a real estate license in Georgia.
Step1: Complete the pre-licensing education requirements that consist of any one of the following:
Along with the application to the PSI to schedule the licensing exam, submit proof of having completed one of the above.
Step 2: Schedule your state licensing exam at any PSI test center. These are in Duluth, Macon, Marietta, and Savannah. Further, complete a background check and have a Georgia Crime Information Report before applying for a license. Step 3: Pass the State Licensing Exam split randomly across national and state-specific sections. The national and state sections have 100 questions and 52 questions respectively to be completed in 4 hours.
Get a Certification of Accuracy Statement at the center itself after you pass the exam. Submit it when you apply for a license.
Step 4: After passing the licensing exam, apply for a license at one of the four PSI Testing Centers in Georgia. Submit proof of US citizenship like a passport, the background verification clearance, and the Certification of Accuracy Statement.
Step 5: Find a sponsoring broker to mentor and employ you. Inform this employment status to the license issuing authority to get an active real estate license in Georgia.
