The RealEstateU California-DFPI MLO Continuing Education Course Package must be completed within 90 days of purchase. Each licensed CA-DFPI MLO must complete at least 7 hours of NMLS approved education, plus 1 hour of California-specific education each year.
The 7 hours of NMLS-approved education include 3 hours of Federal Law, 2 hours of Ethics, and 2 hours of Non-Traditional Mortgage Lending.
CA-DFPI MLOs must complete their continuing education by December 31st.
However, it is recommended that you complete your CA-DFPI CE at least one week prior to the deadline to allow enough time for RealEstateU to report your course completions to the NMLS.
Yes. All RealEstateU MLO continuing education courses are online and self-paced.

No. If you obtained your MLO license this year and also completed the MLO pre-licensing course this year, you are not required to take CE in the same year.
